What are the event timings?
Gates will be open from 5.00pm and there will be a selection of DJs across the 3 tents with Massive Attack on stage in the Steel Yard at approximately 8:30. We advise you to get to site as early as possible as we anticipate heavy traffic around the site especially on Friday night during rush hour. We have a great selection of food stalls, as well as a wide range of craft beers, ciders and wine and spirits for you to enjoy until venue closes at 11pm.
How do I get there?
The site is on Filton Airfield. We would advise planning your travel in advance. The nearest public service bus will drop you off on Gloucester Road. You can also reach the site by by car, via one of our designated shuttle buses or coaches or by taking a taxi. For more information on all these options, you can visit our transport page here.
What is the age limit for the venue?
The venue is strictly 18+. Our bars will be operating a Challenge 25 Policy so please bring photo ID.
What clothing should I wear?
Steelyard is a custom built venue housed on Filton Airfield – so please be aware that most of the site is outdoors. We’d recommend bringing warm clothing and keeping an eye on the weather forecast.
Are you allowed to bring food and drink to the festival?
Food and drink are prohibited from being brought on to the festival site. We do however have a whole range of great vegetarian food traders and bars with an extensive choice of drinks. For full details of traders on site, visit our site page here.
Which entrance do we use on the day?
Pedestrians or those using public transport will use the entrances at Concorde roundabout or Blenheim roundabout. These will be signposted on arrival.
What time does the show start and finish?
Gates open at 5:30pm with last entry at 8.30pm. The music is expected to finish at 10:30PM with the bars open until 11:00pm for those wishing to wait out the rush. The site will be closed at midnight.
Are we allowed to leave and come back in?
There are no pass outs permitted, but plenty of facilities on site.
What are the disabled facilities?
Steelyard has accessible access. For wheelchair users there are raised viewing platforms within the arena and there are accessible toilets on site. Access to viewing platform is by prior arrangement only, please note these have already sold out.
For customers with accessibility tickets, you will need to bring along your admission ticket alongside your wristband which you will be receiving in the post. For any queries regarding this you can email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is a car park available, please put your Blue Badge on display whilst using this.
I’m a local resident, how will the concert affect me?
To ensure a successful event it is our objective to have minimal impact on the site, environment and local surroundings and we are currently working with experts to deliver this. We have provisions in place for acoustics, security, traffic and health and safety. Full information on these can be found here.
